(by telegraph.—press association). Mr Maxwell on Leave. Wellington, Wednesday. It is stated that Mr Maxwell, General Manager of the New Zealand Railways, has obtained six months’leave of absence, and is about to visit Europe. He will probably be accredited by the New Zealand Government to the Conference of Railway Engineers and Managers, about to be held in Milan.
