Notices. ROAD BOARD. Extraordinary Vacancy. An EXTRAORDINARY VACANCY having occurred through Mr A. Crawford having been absent from four consecutive ordinary meetings of the Board, I therefore, in accordance with clause 4G of the “ Local Elections Act 1876,” will hold an ELECTION to till the same (if necessary) on FRIDAY the Ith day of August next, and I will receive nominations of Candidates willing to (ill the vacancy addressed to mu at the oflice of the Board (the Chairman's residence) up to noon of Friday, the 2Uth iust. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, with a view to improve our line Park Reserve at tbe Lake, now handed over to the people, the Domain Board, having at very considerable expense cleared, ploughed, and securely fenced the grounds, would appeal to the residents of the town to ASSIST in further IMPROVING the place, which is now ready for planting. For this end the board will be glad to rec.'ive during the next fortnight the promise of assistance from people taking an interest in the matter, either by letter or by word, sent to the secretary, of their intention to help either by gift of trees, labour in planting, donations, or otherwise.
