Messrs Wm. In . us & Sox Report for the week ending July Nth: — t at Cattle.—The number at Hoinebush on Monday w.is very large, 3 20; being yarded, including two or three large lots from 'Queensland. The supply was altogether in excess of requirements and prices were lower all round, the attendance of buyers being very limited. The highest sale of the day was vs; y- 10d for a large lot of 2 bullocks from Cowley I’lains, another of 231 from Mount Leonard averaging I'd Os !*d. .Several lots forward were passed. To-day (Thursday) another large number were forward, t'Bd being yarded, embracing all qualities. Sales were dull and dragging, and the market no better. A large lot of 334 bullocks Irom Delcomyn, Queensland, averaged £5 10s, and another draft of 231 from Kyabra, £d 4a id. We quote— Best beef Ids dd per lOOlbs. Fair 14s Middling 13s „ Sheep.— 7doo were yarded at Homebush on Monday. This was not a large number, b it the attendance of buyers was very poor, and the meat pre-ervers not purchasing pi ice- were even lower than they have yet declined to. To-day (Thursday) 15,200 were offered; although the number was large there was a better attendance of the trade, and the market improved Considerably as the sales progressed. The principal lots were 2300 wethers from Boolean*;], 8s Od to 8s 10J ; 1700 wethers from Boincra, 0s 10J to 10s Id ; 2SOO wethers from Sistowel D. wns, 7s 3d to 8s '.'d; and 1700 ewes from tiih Springs, ds 0d to 8s (si. We quote— Best wethers 10s to 11s < lood 7s 8d to Its Others From 6s up. And ewe- in prop a lion. Lamps.—There was a good number to hand both at Homebush and Sydney this week, and the market continued dull, .th no improvement. We quote— Best 7s dd to Os dd Others from 4s Cd up. Houses.—On Tuesday, the -*> th instant, we sold the broken-iu portion of Messrs Hanrahan, Inch and Wil-oa’s Xew Zealand draught mare- and geldings I>«r f.s. Haur"to. the funner realising from 1320 JOs to £ll, the geldings from £lB l‘>- to £2B .*«, The competition for all superior draughts was keen and animated, and show an upward tendency on late rate-.
