THE WAIPA ELECTION.

fo THE EDITOR. Sm, —“ Wanted by the electors of the Waipa a Rood, honest representative ; one who has ideas on reform and economy in administration, and is not afraid to express them; one with a practical knowledge of local government preferred. Candidates to meet electors at an early date.” The above, Mr Editor, I think, would be about the correct thing. Curing last election we used to hear of an everlasting candidate; why does he not publicly declare himself ? If I may be allowed, I would name three men who, from their business ability and public spirit on all occasions, deserve our confidence Ist. F. C. Germane, for many years county councillor and chairman Waipa County, who, on all occasions, is ready to give his valuable time for the public welfare; 2nd. J. B. Teasdalc, present chairman Waipa County Conned, a good, solid politician, a man of good business abilities and public spirit; 3rd. Captain Htcelo, for many years chairman Waikato County Council, well-known in nil movements to promote the welfare of the country, large interest in both counties, and commonly called “Father Abraham.” I think there are many others deserving, but the above, from their prominence as public men, should claim our first attention. Should it he deemed desirable to present a requisition to either of them, allow me to subscribe to it.—l am, yours truly, Tk Kore.
