MAJOR ATKINSON AT HAWERA.
(BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Hawera, Friday. Major Atkinson addressed his.constituents on local matters last night, justifying his action in reference to the New Plymouth harbour, the Stratford railway, and other subjects of local interest. A vote of thanks and confidence was declared carried by one vote. The meeting was lively, but orderly, and about one-fourth of those present voted. To-night the Major speaks on colonial subjects.
