» Messrs Wir. Inglis & Sons Report for the week ending June 17th:— 1* at Catti.h. —The supply has been much larger than usual on both sale days this week, Ki2o being yarded on Monday and 1382 to-day (Thursday), nearly half of the arrivals being from Queensland. This was altogether in excess of requirements, and prices at the close to-day were 10s to 20s less than last week's rates, which were in themselves much below the average ; had not the S.M.P. Co. purchased largely for preserving purposes the decline would have been still greater. The highest a\eragefor bullocks was £7 12s 9d for one small lot of extra prime from Mudgee. A mixed lot of 204 from Bourke averaged £7 3s (id for bullocks and £5 7s Gd for the cows, and a draft of 48 bullocks from Nyngan, £7 0s 9d. Another large lot of 214 bullocks from Bourke averaged £6 13s Bd. We quoteBest Beef 17s per 100 lbs. Fair 15s ~ Middling 13s ~ Sheep.—The number on Monday was small, only 9700 being yarded at Homebush, and prices were firm with a slight rise of about (id per head. To-day (Thursday) the number was not excessive, only 11,500 being offered, but sales were dull and dragging towards the conclusion, the rise afc Mondays's market being lost. The principal sales were 121(i wethers from Warraweena, 9s (id to 12s : .1430 Wethers from Duddo. 9s lOd to 10s 9d ; 1900 wethers from Listowel Downs, 9s lOd to 10s 2d ; and 550 ewes from Carathool, 8s to 10s. We quoteBest Merino Wethers 10s (id to 12s Good 8s Gd to 9s (3d Others... ... ... from 6s up. Lam iis.—There was a good supply forward, but mostly medium and inferior, which were dull of sale. We quoteBest ... ... 8s Gd to lis 0d Others ... ... from 5s Od up Houses.—We report 'the market fairly well supplied during the week. The entries at the Bazaar from the town and suburbs were very numerous, and a good many country lots also came forward. Competition for all useful horses, either heavy or light, was fairly brisk. The following is a brief summary of sales at the Bazaar On. account of Messrs A. Johnston and Co. : S draught horses, from £13 5s to £25 10s. On account of Messrs Monie and Co., G draught horses, from £16 10s to £27. On account of W. Shannon, 13 draught geldings, from £14 to £19; on account of various owners; 22 heavy draught mares and geldings, from £13 15s to £32; 31 medium draught ditto, from £13 5s to £24 10s ; 18 superior saddle and harness horses, with breeding and substance, £22 to £3G 15s; 38 horses, suitable for 'bus, van, arid cab work, at from £1215s to £18 15s; 24 light saddle and harness horses, from £5 to £9 10s ; also a large number of used-up horses, heavy and light; also sold on ac- ; count of Mr D. Bouffier, 5 milch cows from £1.2 to £17 10s. At the Cam per down yards we.sold, on account of Mr W. W. Johnson, 20 horses, broken and unbroken, consisting of active draughts and light horses, the former selling from £8 10s to £18 10s, and the latter from £5 to £11; also, on account of Messrs T. and W. D. Moxhatn, IS active draught colts and fillies from £13 to £27 10s; on account of various owners, 14 light saddle horses from £4 10s to £11 ss; on account of Sydney Bus Company, 10 usedup horses, £.i to £4.
