RANGIAOHIA ROAD BOARD.
| A meeting of the board was held at 7.30 p.m. on Saturday, June 18th, 1887. Present : Messrs W. Taylor (chairman), J. B. Teasdale, and It. Burke. Royalty on Gravel.—Mr Teasdale appeared before the board as deputy from the Waipa County Council, and stated that the county were agreeable to pay £10 towards gravelling Taylor's hill, in lieu of paying royalty demanded by the board. After some discussion the board agreed to the proposal. Te Rahu Road.—Only one tender having been received for fascining and sanding, the board decided to accept the same, viz, T. Short, 18s per chain for and 10s per chain for sanding. New Road, Rangiaohia.—lt was resolved to consider the matter at next meeting. Mr Armstrong was instructed to estimate the probable cost of opening the said road, and to lay the necessary information before the board. . Churches' Bridge, Th Rahu.—This bridge being in need of repairs, the engineer was instructed to have the necessary work done. New Bridge, Te Rahu.—The engineer reported that the contractor having finished the bridge, recommended that he be paid the balance due, together with his deposit. Carried. North-street, Kihikihi.—A letter was read from the clerk of the Kihikihi Town Board in reference to a portion of this street being badly in need of repairs. It was resolved to have the work done as soon as the weather permits. Cunningham's Bridge.—The engineer stated that he had a few planks placed temporarily onthe'bridgo, but|was of opinion that it should be thoroughly repaired. Resolved that this work stand over for the present. Several small acconnts were passed and ordered to be paid. This concluded the meeting,
