THE THANKSGIVING SERVICE IN WESTMINSTER ABBEY.

, London, June 21. Tins Queen loft Buckingham Palace about 11 a.m. to-day for Westminister Abbey in an opoii carriago, oscbitod by a cavalcade of English and other Princes, tho etlect being most brilliant. ' Her Majesty was- dressed in a white laco gown, over darker material, and wore a white bennet. She appeared smiling and happy. When the carriage emerged (from the great gates of tho palace the enthusiasm of the people, who thronged St; : Jarnos'Park and its approaches, was boundless, and increased until the cheering became a mighty'roar. Her Majesty proceeded via Constitution Hill, Piccadilly, St. James-street, Pall Mall, Trafalgar Square, and.Whitehall. The line of route was crowded from sunrise with people, waiting to see the pageant. The scene at Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly, and in the neighbourhood of the Abbey, was unparalleled for brilliancy and wealth of colour, and for impressiveness, the assembled myriads being unitedly animated by enthusiasm and loyalty. The Queen entered the Abbey at noon with an artillery salute.
THE CELEBRATION IN AUS- • TRALIA. ,-.. . v
(Received June 22nd, 3.6 p.m. Sydney, Wednesday. Everything in connection with the Jubilee celebration passed off well. The harbour presented a brilliant sight. The warships and other vessels were illuminated, and there was a grand display of fireworks. No accidents are reported.
Melbourne, Wednesday. Everything yesterday during tho Jubilee celebration was of an order character. No accidents occurred.
