Melbourne, June 5. A.N open air meeting, under the presidency of Sir Bryan O'Loghlen, was held yesterday for the purpose of protesting against the Irish Crimes Bill. The meeting was attended hy 10,000 people, the proceedings being of an orderly character. Resolutions were passed declaring the Bill unnecessary and tyrannical. A letter was read from the Rev. Charles Strong, minister of the Australian Church, who expressed sympathy with the object of the meeting. Brown, of Adelaide, and Newbery, the Government analyst, who were severely injured in the Windsor railway accident, left the hospital to-pay. Arrived: Kaiser-i-Hind. Adelaide, June 4. It is reported what a motion of want-of-confidence will be moved on Tuesday next. It is considered probable that the Ministry -will be defeated. Sydney, June 4. A meeting was held in the Town Hall last night to consider the means of celebrating the Queen's .Jubilee. The proceedings were at times most rowdy. Several speakers gave utterance to offensive and abusive declamations regarding regarding the Royal family. The meeting decided against the celebration of the Jubilee by the public schools. A disorderly scene occured in the Legislative Assembly last night, owing to the refusal of the Government to state whether or not they intended to abandon the tobacco duties. Mr R. B. Wise, the new Attorney-General, who was opposed by Mr Traill, has been returned for the Legislative Assembly by a majority of 40, (Received June oth, 130 p.m.) Sydney, June 6.
