« [BY TELEGRAPH.— OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Paeroa, Monday. Karangahake. Woodstock. —Moore and party, tributers. have dropped on to what is probably one ot the best patches in Karangahake. They have sunk a distance of about 180 feet below the level of the road, and have driven on the reef 85 feet, and are getting out a parcel of 50 tons of ore for transmission home through the medium of the Loan and Mercantile Agency. This is about (he deepest level that good ore has yet bean got at Karangahake. Waihi. Union.—l am credibly informed that the reef has wonderfully improved during the past week. Some excellent dirt is to hand, and efforts are being made to get a large quantity through to Auckland before the wet weather sets in.
