In many localities the settlers arc selling their farms for mere trifles,:; and leaving for the East iii abject poverty. Mn Samuel Moeley, late M.P., for Bristol, has been electod chairman of the ( longrejrational IJnion of England and Wales for 1886-87.. . The qhurch of Scotland Monthly says : —" Quite a large number of ministers from England, and Scotland have this spring been visiting the Holy l^and."
