South Australia shows a decrease of 984 persons, all the other colonies showing, substanial increases; Victoria is the most thickly populated', the proportion of personsto the square mile'being .11-75, Now 'Zealand'coming next -with 5-65. The percentago to the square mile for the ■whole of the colonies is given at 1.13.
