Catesby 1 Snake' 2 Reproach 3 Wanganui RacesAt the Wanganni Steeplechase Meeting on Tuesday, Waitangi won the Maiden Steeplechase, with Maminga second and Merrylegs third. The Gem won the Flying Stakes ; Harold the Hack Flat Race ; Orient the Wanganui Handicap Steeplechase ; Allegro the Handicap Steeplechase; Maminga the Consolation Handicap Steeplechase and Laurel the Winter Oats Handicap. Dunedin J,C Birthday Meeting. The two principal events at the above meeting, namely the Provincial Handicap and the Tradesmen's Handicap, were won by the Hon. G. McLean's Mokoia and Mr H. Goodman's Bard. Porirua Kaces. The Queen's Birthday Cup was won by Strenuous, Deceiver second,- and Voltigeur third.
