The celebrity of its HOT SPRINGS is extending throughout the length and breadtl of the Colony, and the WONDERFUL CURES. effected by the Waters in cases of RHEU MATISM, GOUT, LUMBAGO, LIVER AND KIDNEY COMPLAINTS, INDIGES TION. and Kindred Ailments, are gratefull; testified to in the Visitors' Book by Hundred; of Persons who by their use have been lestoret to Health and all its enjoyments. The place i: par excellence the Sanatorium of the People. The CLIMATE in its HEALTH-GIVING PROPERTIES is unsurpassed ; the COST OI LIVING is exceedingly MODERATE ; and thi locality is easy of access by river, rail, oi road, from Auckland and the Thames. In ad dition to these advantages there are for th( Robust abundant means of enjoyment in Boating, Riding, and Driving, while for those in delicate health the neatly laic out Domain forms a most pleasant resort. Thi following analysis of the Waters by Mr J. A Pond, Colonial Analyst, and the accompanyin[ extracts from his report thereon to the Domaii Board, will be read with interest. These Waters are all feebly alkaline and strong! charged with carbonic acid gas, which is con stantly escaping from the Springs in large quan tities. Tba Lithia, a valuable constituent c these Waters, is present in an appreciable quan tity. The Analyses show these Springs to b very similar in composition. These Minora Waters are exceedingly interesting, and wil prove of great value medicinally. They closel; resemble some of the European Mineral Spring so justly celebrated, more especially those o Vichy, Ems, and Eachingen. Their Curative Value will be greatest in Rheumatic and Arth iCitic Diseases, Calculus, Affections of thi Kidneys, and Dyspepsia. You may rest assuret that all you can do for your Springs iu tin shape of improving the facilities for their use, ii entirely ustified by the character of the water. .
