This latter horse, a very fine grey, came from New Zealand, and was an exceptionally good beast; the price obtained for hira must therefore not be taken as a guide to the market. Notwithstanding the heavy supply, the market has remained firm for good animals of all classes, and our constituents need not be afraid to send forward good draught or upstanding horses, suitable for 'bus, cab, or van work. While we have numerous inquiries for carriage pairs and high-classed saddle and singe harness horses, light weeds and low draught horses are a in the market.
