Inglis and Son's .Report for theweek ending April loth:— Fat Cattle.—There was only one sale held at Homebush this week, on Thursday,, when '990 head were yarded, the qualityranging from fair to very prime. This was much less than an ordinary week's supply, but the market showed no change —best descriptions only were firm at late rates, others easier. The principal sales were 139 bullocks from Cowley Plains, at £8 ; 140 ditto from Welford Downs, at £7 10s lOd ; and 141 from Yetinau, at £7 Is; and a lot of 52 cows from Dubbo, £5 (is. At the sale in our Sydney yards this afternoon, biddings were fairly brisk, but the quality was not so good as usual. We quote— Best beef 22s per lOOlbs. lair 19a » Middling 17s " Shkei\—24,2oo were penned at Homebush to-day (Thursday), constituting the weeks supply. The sales opened dull, and, though assistance was rendered by the ftleat Preserving buyers, continued so all through, with a decline of from (id. to Is (3d. per head, the fall being greatest on middling and inferior sorts. The principal sales were. 2000 wethers from Gorian Station, 9s to lis: 0d ; 2050 wethers from Boolcarrol, !!.$ Gd to--9s 8d ; 2500 wethers from Bimble, 7s 9d t(» 9s ; and smaller lots at prices raugingdowu to (is 7<l for wethers, and 6s 3d for ewes. We quote— Best wethers ... 9s Od to 11 sOd ( '<> od 7s Gd to Ss 6d Others from 6s Od up Milch Cows.—A fair number were in at our sale yards this week. There was a good attendance of the trade and private buyers, and very satisfactory prices were, obtained throughout. We quote ■ Best Cows £110s to £16 ®; ) , od £8 0s to £10 Others £410s up. William Inc.lis and Son's Housi Report for week euding April 14th, 1887 — We report: A very large number of horses came forward during the week ended ApriL 14th instant, both from the town, suburbs* and country, and we also landed a small shipment, per Uauroto, of 32 head on count of Messrs Heggarty and McAllister New Zealand. We sold, at the Bazaar, 43 draught mares and geldings at from £23 os to £31; 3(> medium ditto at from £14 10s to £2L 15s, 24 van and 'bus horses at from £14 to £18 10s, 27 high-classed saddle and harness horses at from £17 to £28 10s ; also a very large number of inferior draughts and weedy saddle and harness horses at market rates.
