HAMILTON FOOTBALL CLUB.

The annual meeting was held last Saturday evening at the Royal Hotel, Mr Bindon in the chair.—The minutes of the last annual meeting were read and confined. The hon. sec. then read the report and balance-sheet for the last year. " Seven matches were played, three were drawn, two won, and two lost. In the third Cambridge match played in Hamilton, T. Brown, an Auckland representative played for Hamilton. During the season the umpiring caused considerable trouble. It is to be hoped that players will in future leave the umpire alone. Unfortunately the accounts show the large debit balance of £5 17s 3d, this represents the expenditure in trying to arrange a match with New South Wales and arrears of playing members." This season members whose subscriptions are in arrears will not b.: chosen for matches. The following members and officers were elected : —Members : Messrs Phillips,M. Hume.E. Pilling,Mnnro, R. Gwynne, Barwell, E. B. Cox, and Gray ; president. Mr J. B. Whyte; vice-presi-dents, Messrs E. B. Cox, E. L. Smith, G. Edgecumbe and B. Wools ; hon. sec. and treasurer, Mr P. E. Stevens ; committee, Messrs Pilling, Hinton, Yon Stunner Gwynne and W. Odium* It was resolved to play in blue uniform. The hon. sec. was requested to writ®, to the various Waikato Clubs, asking their assistance in the forma tion of a Waikato Rugby Association. A letter from the hon. sec. of the Cambridge Football Club, stating that the Auckland Gordon Football Club wished to play a Waikato team at Cambridge next Saturday, was then discussed. For the Waikato team the following were suggested : — Messrs Newman, N. Hunt, Souter, T. Mannon, Gribble, R. Gwynne, D. Melntyre, W. Odium, T. Hinton, R. Wood, E. Pilling, Moon, C. Guird, M. Morrissey and Porter ; emergencies : Messrs Sullivan, Harris and Graham. Umpires: Messrs Von Stunner and W. Ring.
