« . [REUTER's TELEGRAMS. 1 fßeccived April Ist. 2.10 p.m.] Melbourne, April 1. It is now certain there will be a large surplus at the close of the financial year. Adelaide, April 1. The revenue for South Australia last quarter amounted to ,£511,000, a decrease of £111,000 compared with last year. The Customs revenue decreased £35,000, and the net revenue from taxation shows a decrease of £32,000. Sydney April 15. Sailed to-day : Waihora for Auckland. News has been received from Noumea that the brig Linda Webber put in there on the 6th March, through being dismasted in a hurricane.
