PUKEKURA ROAD BOARD.
* A meeting of the board was held in the Pnkerimu school-room on Wednesday. Present: Messrs J. Gane (chairman), Kus.ibs, R, Fisher and F. Allan. Tenders for claying the station road at Ohaupo were received as follows:—Cassidy, IQd ; Turuwald, 8d ; McCallum 7d (accepted). It was resolved (hat the clerk for the unsuiug year receive £i"2 10s as salary. Messrs' Allan and Fisher said that various portions of the district roads would require to be gravelled before winter. It was resolved that the road from J. Keeley's corner to Redoubt road be gravelled live yards to the chain for about a mile, at Redoubt Hill eight yards to the chain for about ten chains, also_ about 50 yards of gravelling on township roads, and from Howie's corner to Hewitt's corner—about two miles—five yards to the chain ; the work to be shown by Mr Allen on Wednesday next, at 10 a.m., at Keeley's corner, and at Howie's corner on the same day at 1 p.m. by Mr R. Fisher.
It was resolved that tenders be invited for clearing and ploughing and fixing pipes at Covvley's road. Mr Kusabs will show the work on Saturday next, the 9th inst. ; tenders to be sent in by noon of the 12th April. It was resolved that Oowley's offer be accepted for keeping in repair for one year the road at Cowley's gully ; also to cart material for fencing, and erect the same free of any further charge.
Mr Kusabs was empowered to get the bridge on the station road repaired, and Mr Fisher to get the hollow filled up at the bottom of Tucker's hill, near Mrs Hooper's.
Accounts were read and passed to the amount of ±164 10s sd, and the meeting terminated.
