The Piako County Council propose uuder the provisions of "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886" to borrow by way of "SPECIAL LOAN" a sum of money for the purpose of undertaking certain Public Works within the Patetere Riding ; and this notice is given in accordance with Section 193 of "The Counties Act, 1886." 1. The particular works proposed to be undertaken :—Forming and Making a Road through a portion of the Patetere Riding, the said road commencing at a point on the bonndary line between the Matamata and Patetere Ridings, in Okauia Block No. la, No. 4, thence to a point on the Thames Valley Road in tb N.W. part of Okauia No. Ib, thence towards the southern boundary of the said Patetere Riding. 2. The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purpose is £1500. 3. It is proposed to pledge as security for such Loan a "Special Rate " of one-fourteenth part of a penny in the £, upon all rateable property (exclusive of Crown and Native Lands), within the Patetere Riding, such rate to be an annually recurring rate, and to be payable every year for a period of twenty-six years.
