Mr AU'UKI) JJUGKLAND 8 WKEKLY UhPORT. -At tho Haymarket during the past week loose fodder ranged from 2s to bs od the i'\vt: oats, from Is lOd to 2s od ; maize, 3s SHI to 3s lid; wheat, 46 the bushel. Manures, clovers, and grass seeds were also sold m considerable quantities. On Friday last horse, stock were sold in larger number than of late. Prices for useful riding and li"ht horses ranged from £7 10s to £12 ; and a choice active heavy draught, £30 ; spring cart £10 15s. At the wool, hide, and skin sale held on Tuesday, loth inst., heavy bides were in brisk demand, and brought up to 4§d the lb ; tallow, from 12a 15s the cwt *, pelts and skins, from 9d to 2s bd oach ; wool, 7d and 7jd the lb. At the private sale held on the farm of Mr \\ aters, of Papatoetoe, there was a very numerous attendance, and tho prices obtained were satisfactory throughout. The qountry cattle sales, held at Pokeno and Urury, on Monday and Wednesday respectively, were fully supplied with stock of all classes. Prices ruled low, but, owing to the scarcity of feed, there were very few reserves.. At Remuera on Thursday dairy cows at then profit wero better worth, btoro cattle duli of sale. Fat cattle in less than usual number brought aboHt l'is the lOOlbs. Wellfatted calves were in demand at full prices. Fat sheep,.in short supply, obtained 110 improvement on last week s values. 1 igs ot all classes, particularly porkers, wore ill better inquiry than at any time during the hotter weather.
Messrs Hunter ani> Nolan's Rkpokt. —Horse feed and seeds were in brisk demand : oats at 2s 4d to 2s Gd per bushel; pollard, 4s 6d per 1001b ; bran, 4s (3d per 1001b. Horses : Dulness has characterised the market; no strangers were brought forward, and there were no outside buyers, consequently sales were limited at the previous week's values. Entries at the Durham Yards were scarcely up to the average in number, and did not include many of a decent stamp. Competition was slow, but most of the lots were disposed of eventually. We quote : Hacks, from £4 10 to £13 ; "got harness horses, from £8 to £1;>; draughts, from £13 10s to £20. Wool, hides, and skins : Steady demand at previous week: s values. We quote :Ox hides, at from 4d to 4.\d ; cow hides, 2kl to 3Ad per lb ; skins, from Is 3d to 3s Gd. Cattle. The supply has been good. Fat beasts have been principally ship-borne. Young store stock were more plentiful, and there was steady competition fur well fatted animals, which realised relatively better values than those that were not prime. Prices ranged trom 15s to ISs per 1001b. Dairy cows were j fairly well represented, and found purchasers at the previous week's values. A few more stores were yarded and disposed of. Sheep : There was a larger muster at Newmarket than on the previous week, but there was a slightly upward tendency in value. Wethers'sold at from 9s to lis Od ; ewes, from 7s 9d to 9s. Lambs : Scarce, and of indifferent quality, sold at from os 3d to 8s Od. Pigs : Scarce, and in improved demand, at from 2d to 3d per lb, live weigh. ; AUCKLAND MARKET QUOTATIONS.
