The Piako County Council propose uuder the provisions of "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, ISS6" to borrow by way of "SPECIAL LOAN" a sum of money for the purpose of undertaking certain Public Works within the Patetere Riding ; and this notice is given in accordance with Section 193 of "The Counties Act, 1886." 1. The particular works proposed to be undertaken : —Forming and Making a Road through a portion of the Patetere Riding, the said road commencing at a point on the boundary line between the Matamata and Patetere Ridings, in Okauia Block No. la, No. 4, thence to a point on the Thames Valley Road in th N.W. part of Okauia No. Ib, thence towards the southern boundary of the said Patetere Riding. 2. The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purpose is £1500. 3. It is proposed to pledge as security for such Loan a "Special Rate " of one-fourteenth part of a penny in the £, upon all ratsable property (exclusive of Crown and Native Lands), within the Patetere Riding, such rate to be an annually recurring rate, and to he payable every year for a period of twenty-six years. DISTRICT OF WAIKATO HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID BOARD. APPLICATIONS are hereby solicited for a duly qualified MEDICAL MAN to take charge of the District Hospital at Hamilton. Salary is fixed at £300 a year, together with the right to undertake private practice within a radius of three miles, provided such private practice does not interfere with his duties at the hospital, the said officer to reside within half a mile of the site. Applications, with certificate of qualifications, to be sent in to reach the Board not later than the 12th of April next, and applicant to state the date he can be present to undertake the duties.
