At Pokeuo, on Monday, February 28th, cattle were yarded in full number. Fat cattle and dairy cows sold well, but for storo cattle the enquiry was limited. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were at late values; fat cattle were at last week's prices, varying from 15s to 17s Gd the lOOlbs ; fat calves numerous, and at low prices ; sheep, in moderate number, fully kept their price; lainbs were at a discount; and pigs of good quality maintained the improved prices of last week, but inferior bred were little worth.

Horses : There has been no outside or extra supply, but there has been an improved demand, and a good many animals fonnd purchasers at a slight advance on the previous week's values. The Durham Yards on Friday were fairly filled, and there was steady competition throughout the sale. We quote : Hacks, from £5 to £14 ; light harness horses, from £9. to £16 ; draughts, £13 to £20.
