The Waikato Finns Office, Friday. WAIKATO LIVE STOCK MARKETS. Mjcssrs W. J. At the'horse yards ji lot of produce sold fairly well, apples, Id i to lid per lb; pigs, 5s to 6s 6d : bacon, tild to 7d for hams. The yards were, well filled with horses. There was little demand, and only a limited number sold. Those mostly on demand were of light harness description. We quote : hacks. £4 10s to £8; light draught, £8 to £12 each. At Ohaupo on Tuesday there was a good supply of cattle, and a large number of sheep, about 1200 yarded, and all sold excepting 81, which were held over for next sale. The cattle were principally and 2-year-old steers, for which there was very little domaud, several pens of choice ones only selling. About 80 head beef were yarded, a good number of which sold at fair prices. Dairy cows were in better demand, aud anything good sold well. We quote : Dairy cows, £3 to £4 10s ; weaned calves, 13s ; 1|- and 2-year-old steers, £I.los to £2 2s; store heifers, £110s to £2 ; store cows, £2 to £2 10s; 3-year-old steers, £3 tb £3 Gs ; fat steers, £4 4s to £4 10s ; fat cows and heifers, £3 to £4 0s ; 309 merino ewes, 3s (id each ; 180 aged Lincoln ewes, 5s to 5s (id ; 51 crossbred ewes, 5s Gd ; 99 do., 5s Gd ; 3G do., 6s 3d : 37 lambs, 7s fid ; 36 do., (is (id ; 40 do., 4s; fat ewes, 6s 9d to 8s ; aged Lincoln rams, from 12s to 15s; Southdown ram, £112s. AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKETS. Mb Alfred Buck land's Weekly Report.—At the Hay market on Friday, February 18th, fodder was in usual supply, and scarcely maintained previous week's values; prices ranged from 2s to 3s 3d the cwt. Oats sold more freely, and varied with samples from 2s to 2s Gd the bushel. Maize: 4s 6d. Horse stock sold at low values; useful draught brought from £6 to £12 10s; riding horses, from 40s upwards. At the usual hide and skin sale, hides sold freely. Butchers' cow hides brought lGs Gd; ox hides, 22s and 24s each. A full number of light skins were pitched; prices ranged from Gd to Is 3d each. Wool in good demand, brought and 7d the lb. At Papakura, on Wednesday, a small number of cattle, principally dairy stock, sold fairly well. At Reuiuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were in usual number and late values. Store cattle scarcely represented. Fat cattle dull of sale at last week's prices ; sheep, abundant and of good quality, with no alteration in prices; wethers ranged from 8s Gd to 13s; ewes from 6s to 8s each ; lambs plentiful, stores from 4s to 6s; fat lambs, 7s to 10s each. Calves, in full numbers, were lower in price, and pigs, although plentiful, better worth than for many weeks. Messrs Hunter and Nolan's Report.

—Horse feed was in good demand : oats sold at from 2s 3d to 2s (id; bran, £4 10s to £4 15s per ton. Horses: there has not been anything stirring during the week. About the usual number were offered on Friday last, and found purchasers without noticeable alteration in value, except for those of a raally good stamp, which advanced slightly. An average number were submitted by auction at the Durham Yards on Friday; competition for those of a good stamp was brisker than for some time, although no high figures were reached. We quite: Hacks, from £6 10s to £13j light harness horses, from £10 to £15 _10s; dranghts, £12 10s to £10. Wool, hides, and skins : The supply has been scarcely up to the average, and the demand steady. We quote : Ox hides, from 4d to 4Ad per lb ; 2jd to 3Ad ; skins, Is Gd to 2s lOd each ; wool, 6id to 7d. Cattle : But in moderate number were brought forward, and found buyers, prices being a little in favour of the purchaser as compared with the last Newmarket sale. Scarcely an average number were yarded on Tuesday; bidding was steady throughout the sale, and reserves that "could not be realised the previous week were obtained, although the average prices were a shade lower than on the previous weßk. Sheep: Scarcely the usual number were penned at Newmarket on Tuesday, but there was no advance in value. Wethers sold at from 8s Gd to 12s each; ewes, from 7s Gd to !)s; lambs, from 3s Gd to 7s Gd. Pigs: Very few yarded, but ample for requirements.
