At "the wool sales to-day 13,900 bales were offered. [press association.] London, February 5. —The 'wool market shows a diminished spirit, owing to the war rumours. German and French buyers are now cautious, but the Americans are buying freely. Crossbreds are very firm. The number of bales catalogued are 127,000, of which 8500 have been withdrawn.
