It is expected that the wound will not prove fatal. How the scissors came into his possession is not known, as he had been searched. CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. A burglar named Chas. Anderson was caught at 2 o'clock this morning in Kincaid's grocery shop, Cashcl-street, by Constable Coster, who noticed the window open, and found him rifling the till. He surrendered without resistance. DUNEDIN, Wednesday. Tnsman was scratched for the Dunedin Cup at 4 p.m. to-day. A young man named Egley was fined 5s to-day for disturbing a person on New Years Day by kicking at his door for a lark.
