Hamilton Schools v. Press Juniors.
A vkkt interesting match between the Printers and the Hamilton School boys was played la*t Thursday, on Sydney Square, and resulted in a win for the school* by 15 runs. The printers went in first and made 22 runs, the bowling of Sage and N. Murray being too much fur them. Thr boys went in and did worse, scoring only 16 runs. In the second innings the batting was a little better, tho printers making 40, and the boys 61 runs respectively. For the boys. Sage, 13 not out, V. Murray, 13, ami W. Gelling, 11, did well. F. Murray trying t'i steal a bve, ran himself out. The fielding of both sides was very good, but the best feature of the match was the bowling of A. Sage and J. Andrew. Messrs Stevens and Bygrave umpired t<» the satisfaction of all partie*. Wβ would recommend the boys and printers to combine and play the men of tho Hamilton Club. From the form nhowed on Thursday, we think that the combined team would put the men through easily. Schools. Ist. Innings. . 2nd. Innings. F.
