Tilt: bulk of the cattle forward were from Queensland and tho Hunter River. Thot highest lot of bullocks was from Tarabaudra, and averaged £7 ID* 4d, others averaging according to <piality down to £5 10s tid por head, and cows at proportionate rates. The decline in the market was felt at our Sydney yards this afternoon, though our system of soiling tho animals in singles there materially helps to improve dull sales. Fair 17s " Middling " Sheep.—There has been an improvement in the sheep market this week ; 12,000 wure penned on Monday, when the market was brisker with a rise of Is per head. To-day 21,000 Here forward, but the sales held firm witii a still further advance in rates for prime quality. The highest price for a large lot of wethers was from 8s 6d to 9s fid, one or two small lots of exceptionally prime quality going higher; others ranging according to quality down to 5s 3d per head.
