STUD COMPANY'S ANNUAL SALE.

Thk annual sale of the New Zealand Stud Company's yearlings took place at Sylvia Park to-day, and was the most successful yet held by the company. There was a large attendance of buyers from all parts of the qolony including several from Australia. The thirty-three colts submitted brought a total of 95(51 guineas, being an average of 290 ginueas eaah. The twenty-one Muskets alone brought the amount to £85(55, being an average £407 each. There was great competition for this progeny. The Sylvia and Onyx fillies got by Musket were the highest priced ones, the former realising 1100 guineas, .md the latter 1040 guineas. They were bought by Mr Gould of Melbourne. The other principal sales were: — Colt, by Musket—Locket, 700 guineas, Hon. W. Robinson ; Filly, by Musket—Pulchra, 005 guineas, John Bennett. Colt, bv Musket —Mersey, 020 guineas, D, O'Brien, Colt, by Musket—Leila, 510 guineas, N. Gould, Melbourne. '• Filly, by Musket-Pearl Ash, 450 guineas, W. W. Robinson. Colt, by Musket—Steppe, 410 guineas, J. Dickey. Colt, by Musket—Rosette, 410 guineas, John Uenngtt, Napier, Filly, by Musket—'Sister Agnes, -130 guineas, J. Tozer, Sydney. Colt, by Musket—Tres Deuce, P. Butler, 445 guineas. Colt, by Musket—Petroleuse, 305 guineas, E, Mitchelson. Filly, by Musket —Florence McCarthy, 200 guineas, Co!, Fraser, Filly, by Musket—Azure, 250 guineas, T. S. Chirnaide, Melbourne. Colt, by Leolinua—Lovebird, W. Adams, 200 guineas. Filly, by Musket—Florin, R. Dudeer, 100 guineas.
