TE RORE.

One of the pleasantest dances that I hitve yet attended came off in the schoolroom here on Thursday evening last, under f,he management of our danco committee, who are as follow:—Messrs 1). McKinnon, \V. Munro, H. Richdale, J. Hodgson, ,T. Kripner and K. Offesen. Although the weather looked very doubtful in the afternoon, there was a very large attendance, visitors coming from all parts of Waikatb, and several were present from Raglan. Dancing commenced a little after 8 o'clock! under the able management of a mo<Jfc N v g.-nial M. C. and was kept up with great' spirit till daylight, when all wended .thefy' way homeward well pleased with the night's? dancing. The music was also of the best', being supplied by Mr Sibley ot Te Awamutu. The belle —ah! there comes the rub., After much harrassing thought and not be-( ing armour proof against the killing glances! ot enraged beauty —for each'" beauty ' not) accounted " the. belle" is sure to become( enraged, I protect myself from all future i danger by just passing on the responsidility of proclaiming the belle to others So many beile's were present there I could not name the fairest; Let those who wish to make a "queen," Crown her—to theni the dearest. —A COBRESI'OiVDENT. i
