THE SMALL-POX IN AUSTRALIA.
[BY TELEGRAPH.-COPYRIGHT.] [keuteu's telkgbams.] Sydnkt, December 31. Twenty-four distinct cases of small-pox are reported amongst the Preus&en's passengers, as well as thirty-one suspected cases. Melbourne, December 31. The quarantined passengers from the Preusseu are all in good health. January 1. Two steerage passengers from the Preusseu are suffering from small-pox at the quarantine station. These further outbreaks are attributed to imperfect isolation. January 2. No fresh cases of small-pox have been re ported among the Preussen's passengers. Affairs at the quarantine station are progressing favourably. Adelaide. December 31. The health of the small-pox patients in the quarantine station is improving. January 1. Another of the Preussen's passengers has been quarantined, suffering from smallpox.
