]yEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. Aitckund Section. Christmas and New Year Holidays. FARES, TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS, Waikato Stations. On December 24th, the 4.15 p.*n. train from Auckland to Mercer will run through to Te Awnmutu, Cambridge, and Te Aroh'i, stopping where required. On December 23th, trains will not be run iv the Waikato, with the exception of an Excursion train from Auckland to Hamilton, which will leave Mercer, 10.55 a m. ; Huatly, 12 noon ; Ngaruawahia, 12 20, .arriving at Hamilton at 1 p.m. ; returning from Hamilton 0 p.m. This train will stop where required to pick up or set down passengers. A FAST Passenger Train leaves Te Awamutu (i 4o a.m., Oliaupo, 7.5 a.m., Te Aiohii 5 45 a.m., Morrinsville 6.20 a.m., Cambriflge 6.45 a.m., Hamilton West 7.80 a.m., Ngaruauahia 8. 15 a.m., riuntly 8.45 a.m., Mercer 10.10 a.m., for Hacecoiuse Platform and Auckland, reaching Auckland about 12.45 p.m.

From other Stations Saturday Return Tickets will be issued. This train will stop where required to pick up passengers for Racecourse or Auckland. These Excursion Tickets will be available for day of issue ouly, and only between the station issued at and the station issued to. Passengeis return by a train leaving Auckland at 6.20 p.m. and Racecourse Platform at 635 p. tn , reaching Cambridge and Te Awamutu about midnight, and Te Aroha about 12.40 a.m. On December 27th a special train will leave Cambridge at 1.10 p.m. in connection at Ruakura Junction with train leaving that station for Morrinsville at 2 p.m. Cambridge Sports- —On December 27, a special train will leave Frankton Junction for Cambridge at 10.30 a.m. (having connection at Frankton Junction withthe9.lsa.in. train f om To Awamutu, and at Uuakura Juticliou with the 8.20 a.m. train from Te Aroha), stopping where required to pick up passengers. Return train will leave Cambridge for Frankton Junction at 10 p.m. having connection with Te Aiohaand Te Awamutu) stopping where required to set dow n passengers. Excursion Tickets, available for day of ibsue only, will be issued on the 27th as below :—: —

From other Stations Saturday Return Fares. On December 27th, the following trains will not run:— ll.4o am. Auckland to WaiUato ; 9. 15 a.m. Cambridge to Frankton Junction ; 7 p.m., Frank ton .Junction to Cambridge. The 9.15 a.m. train from Te Awamutu will only run to Frankton Junction.
Matamata Races-
On December 28th, a speciai train will leave Frank ton Junction for Matamata at 9 45 a.m. (having connection at Ruakura with 9.15 a.m. train from Cambridge, and at Moninsville with 8.20 a.m. train from Te Aroha), reaching Matamata at 11.45 a.m. stopping where required to pick up passensjeis ; returning from Matain.ita to Fraukton at 5.25 p.m. (having connection with Te Aroha and Cambridge), stopping where required to set clown passengers. Saturday Return Fares. On December 28 the 7 p.m. train Fraukton Junction to Cambridge, will leave at 7.25 p.m., and run 25 minutes later than usual throughout.
HAMILTON SPURTS AND CARNIVAL.
On December 29th a fast passenger train u ill run from Auckland to Hamilton West. leaving Mercer 10.25 a.m., Himtly 11.30, Taupiri 11.47, Ngaruawahia 12 noon, reaching Hamilton at 1 p in., stopping where required to pick up passengers for Hamilton, returning from Hamilton at 6.15 p.m., stopping where required to set down passengers. Saturday return fares from Mercer and intermediate stations. On December 29 the 7 30 pm. Saturday train, Rualui r a junction to Te /Vroha, will be run for the couveuience of Te Aroha line passengers returning from tho Hamilton sports.
RETURN FARES.
Saturday Return Tickets will be issued from any station to any station, Thursday, 23rd December, 1886, to Monday, January 3, 1887 (both days inclusive), and will be available for return up to and including Monday, Jauuary 17, 1887, and Excursion Tickets to Auckland having same currency will be issued on same dates, as follows : — From Ist Class 2nd Class TeAroha ... 20a 15s Cambridge "} Te Awamutu V... 18s 13s Morriusville J < haupo 17s 12s 6d Hamilton West... 13s 6d Ils6d Ngamawahia ... 14s 10s Gd These Tickets will be available by any train, and the journey may be broken going or returning, afc any stopping place, provided the specified time is not exceeded.
