ONE ANGEL MORE.
Hor form is bent with passing years, Her hair is whiter than the snow, Her kindly eyes are dimmer now Than in the years ago ; Ye*, in the chimney corner still She nits, and dreams the livelong day ; Musing upon bright hours long fled, Sweet faces far away. Through the pale vistas of the past She treads once more with silent feet ; She hears friends' voices echo still And sees friends' faces aweet ; Then smiling in the firelight's glow She clasps her hands, and breathes a prayer That when she gains the better land Old friends may greet her there : Old friends with hope and joy renewed, With faces brighter than the day, lor in that land of light and life AH tears are wiped away. And as she smiles, the golden gates Sweep open. On the heavenly floor, Sinning in robes of cloudless sheen, There is one angel more.
