The steamers Helen Nicoll and Keilawarra came into collision last night off Trial Bay Coa«t, in this colony. The KeiLnvarr.i sank in seven minutes. The captain and thirty-five of the crew and passengers went down in her. Three of the Helen Nicolls crew are missing. The Keilawaira is 1000 ton 1 * burden, and owned by Howard, Smith and Co. (Limited). The s.s. Keilawarra was bound from this port to Brisbane. The s.s. Helen Xicull was coming from Grafton to Sydney. The Keilawarra hid twenty-five passengers. The Helen Nicoll, winch was severely damaged by the collision, put into Trul Bay. The names of the Keilawarra 's passengers are as follows : — A family of eight named Schepper, Mrs Johnston and child, Misses Calder, Gallagher, and Bulfin, Messro Wilson, Copland, A. James, Scott, Laugh, McGrade, McDonald, Nott, and eleven in thp steerage. The names of the .saved are : — Preece, Barton, Lodge, Gre.ives, Lmgh, Copland, A. James, Connolly, Maher, Corboy, Sneurr, Gray, Young and Nott, besides others unknown.

LATER. The Keilawarra's crew numbered 35 all told. The total 10-s of life amounts to 43, made up as follows :—25: — 25 passengers of the Keilawarra, the captain and 11 nf the crew, and six of the Helen Nicoll. All the mates and engineers of the Keilawarra were saved. Among the passengers who were drowned was Mrs Wilson, of Brisbane, the daughter of Madame Carandini, the well-known vocalist ; McGrade, the Victorian jockey, was also drowned. A later telegram s>ays :—": — " It is fearful that both Mr and Mrs Wilson have perished with the wreck of the Koilawarra steamer. The Australasian is bringing the Helen Niccol to Sydney. The steamers Lawrence and (Tame Cock have gone to meet them. It is expected they will arrive to-morrow morning.''
