CAMBRIDGE TRINITY CHURCH BAND OF HOPE.
The usual fortnightly meeting was held in the Trinity Church on Wednesday evening, the Rev. W. Evans presiding. The following programme was gone through in a very satisfactory manner. — Hyinm, "Rescue the perishing"; .song, " The gates of the west," Mrs H. Ferguson; recitation, " The gambler's wife," Miss Blanche Carnachan ; song, " Don't you know the reason why," Master F. Buckland ; recitation, "The naughty boy," Master Percy Richardson ; recitation, "Belshazzar," Master Charles Nixon ; song, "Rocked in the cradle of the deep," Mr J. L. Souter ; recitation, " A little speaker," Master Robert Carnachan ; duet, " The righteous shall be cjlad," Mrs H. Ferguson and Mr J. L. Soutter ; hymn, "Yield not to temptation." Miss Soutter presided at the organ, and greatly added to the success of the evening's entertainment by the careful manner in weich she accompanied the songs ivc.
M^srs Fawkes and Foxall notify that they have erected a sawmill at their bus>h on the Whatawhata road, and are now in a position to supply «a\vn and dressed kahikatea or rium of all kinds, rfee advertisement. Messrs W. J. Hunter and Co. have been instructed by Mr R. H. Banish to sell on the 23rd December, at his farm, the whole of his live and dead stock, &c.
