Sydney, December 2. Latkst reports from Kimberly state tliat a payable goldlicld has not yet been discovered Hitherto only prospecting has been carried on. Di^'ers continue to arrive at DerVjy and Cimbridge Gulf from the goldHeld, some of them bringing a fair amount of gold. The diggers are in good health. Business at Derby and Cambridge Gulf is dull. Mr. D.uley, Q.C., will be sworn in as Chief-Justice on Thursday next. The Wairarapa sailed this afternoon tor Auckland.
Mklbourxe, December 2. Tin* ss. South Australian, which arrived to-day from Adelaide, brought one hundred returned diggers from Teetulpa goldtields.
Adelaide, December 2. The bank at Teetulpa has purchased 3000/ c gold from diggers in the neighbourhood since Monday last. Writer is reported to be very scarce on the goldfield. Brisbane, December 2. Parliament was prorogued to-day by the Acting-Governor.
Melboure December 2. Mr Gillies, Premier, has written to the Premier of New South Wales, expressing the hope that the International Exhibition in Melbourne in 18S8 would not clash with the centenary celebration in Sydney. ►Sir P. Jennings indirectly intimated that he believes the two events will in no wib« clash.
