THE ALEXANDRA LIBRARY AND OUR CORRESPONDENT.
TO THE EDITOR. Sin, — In yonr issue of the 25th inst., your Alexandra correspondent says : "It is an open secret that the removal of the store is principally for the purpose of the Wesleyan Methodists having a peace of worship, &c." Now, on behalf of the Library Committee, I most distinctly and emphatically denounce thin statement as false and slanderous. Your correspondent should find better employment than to falsely accuse a public body of so mean and unworthy 'a deception as to obtain from the Government a building for other purposes than those assigned. Perhaps your correspondent will have sufficient courtesy to fully and amply apologise.— Yours truly, J. Aubin, Chairman Alexandra Library and Institute. Alexandra, November 27th, 1886.
Reward offered for a loat mare. A property-tax notice appears in another column.
