CAMBRIDGE BOXING DAY SPORTS.
A MEETING of the Cambridge Boxing D.iy Sports Committee w.is hel<] .it Bach's Criterion Hotel on Wedne-d.iy evening, Mi- G. \V. Russell in the chair. Letters were received from the bomuch council, granting the nse of the paddock ; from Mr Hudson, railway manager, efi-ajiting reduced fares from the various W.iikato townships; from Mr J. B. Whyte and M.vjur Wilson, accepting their appointments, and from Mr Sibley, re Te Awaniutu Band. A vote of th.inks was passed to Messrs K. Bach and James Mackay for haung canvassed the town for subscriptions. A programme was submitted and adopted. It was decided to limit the money prizes to £50. The handicaps close on or about the 14th of December. The next meeting will be held at the Masonic Hotel on Wednesday next.
