A cricket match, Lillywhite's team v. an eleven of New South Wales, commenced to-day. The weather was fine, but the attendance was only moderate. The wicket was somewhat bumpy. The visitors, winning the toss, elected to bat, but failed to make a stand against the New South Wales bowling, which was dead on the wicket. The b.itsmen— Shrewsbury, Scotton, Barton and Barnes— were all out for a total of 28. The only batsman to reach the double figures was Read, who scored 13, caught. The innings closed for 74 runs. The home team then went in, the last wicket falling for 111 runs. McDonald, 32 (bowled), Mo.ses, 31 (not out), were the puncipal scorers. The Englishmen then commenced their second innings, and had made 4 runs without the W of a wicket when the stumps were drawn for the day. November 20. The match between the English cricketers and the eleven of New South Wales was resumed and concluded to day. The weather was fine, and the attendance of the public large. The visitors, with no wickets down for 4 run*, continued their second innings, which closed for a total of 08. The following were the individual scorers :—: — Barlow, c . US The bowling of the home team was excellent, being dead on the wicket. The New South Welshmen, wanting 62 runs to win, went in for their second innings, and obtained the required number with the lo°a of only four wickets, thus winning the match by 0 wickets. The highest scorers were Bannerman (a, 20) and Moses (not out, 31).
