The committee of the Imperial Institute and the Executive Commissioners of the Exhibition have decided not to re-opeu the Exhibition in J.me next, and the Jubilee ceremony will therefore be confined to the laying of the foundation stone of the Institute, .after which the building will be proceeded with. The bulk of imperishable exhibits which have been given to the Institute will be stored until the building i.s ready for their reception. It is hoped that a million pounds will be raised as an endowment. The building will cost half a million, and the Chambers of Commerce expiess their willingness to raise half a million if the scheme embraces British commerce.
