NOTICE UNDER THK PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1882. It is proposed to CLOSE A ROAD running between Allotments No. 39 and 75, Parish of Pukete, and to OPEN in lieu thereof a NEW ROAD running generally in the same diraction as that about to be closed, through the property of Dr. Carey. Any objections to the taking of the required lands must be lodged in writing with the Hamilton Road Board within forty days from this date. A MEETING of the Shareholders of the PIRONGIA MINERAL ASSOCIATION will be held at the PUBLIC HALL, Alexandra, on SATURDAY, the 20th inst., at 8.30 p.m., to confirm or otherwise the following resolution, carried ab a duly notified meeting held on the 13th inst. :—: — "That the Pirongia Mineral Association be wound up, and that the unused funds to the credit of said Association be handed over to the committee of the Alexandra Public Library for the purpose of helping to remove the native stoic, lately granted by the Government for a Public Libiary, to a more convenient site."
