WESLEYAN HOME MISSION

Annual Meeting at RaglanOuk Kaerlan coiro-pondent wiites:— The !iev. "\V. dittos ai rived here on Saturday, the 23rd, and preached in the Weslcyan Church on Sunday morning, in aid of the Mission Fund, to a Urge congregation. In thee\ening a service was held for natives in the same placo. On Monday he visited the home of many settlors. The annual meeting was held in the Wesleyan Church same day. Owing to the stormy evening, not so numerous an attendance was present as in former years. Mr W. H. Wallis was in the chair. The Rev. Mr Stepheiißon read the report of the Home Mission work, which wa«r of an interesting nature, and then proceeded to speak of the, work of the Mission, the good that the pioneers in the cause had done. He said the work had been carried on under the greatest difficulties. Hymn, "Lord of the Harvest." The Rev. Mr Gittos, introduced by the chairman, said he had great pleasure in being with them that night, and to make the acquaintance of both young and old. He remembered their chairman when a boy. He came of a good old stock, and before he engaged in thn work he often listened with rapt attention to the tales of "Father Wallis," Mr Whitely, and others. The rev. gentleman then delivered an evoellent and praotical address bearing upon the subject of the mission, and afterwards addressed the natives. Two natives, Manahi and Wetere, then spoke. Choir , '* My heart and voice I raise." A vote of thanks was passed to Mr flittos and the chairman, both of whom replied in suitable terms.

Buckland and Co. have received instructions from Mr Lewis Lpe to sell by auction at his residence, Queonstreet, Cambridge, on Friday, tho sth inst., the whole of his household furniture and Qffects.
