Messrs Hunter and Nolans Wkbkly RsPOfiT.— Hinges : Theimpro\ementin the inaiket noted last week has continued, and young hor&ea in good condition readily found buyers at an .id v mice on the previous week's \alues. The number entered for disposal by auction at the Durham Yards on Friday was above the average, competition was good throughout the sale, and almost without exception lots were cleared. We quote hacks at from £4 10a to £13 ; light harness horses, £i> to £14; -light dianght, £16 to £20. Wool, hides and skins : The quantities brought forward -were liu.ited, but there was an active demand. - No good heavy hides were pitched, but for medium competition was good. We quote hides at from 3d to 4\d ; calfskins, 4}d to 4W ; sheepskins, Is 8d to 4s 4d. -Tallow, 14s per ewt. Cattle: An unusually large number of stores were brought forward, and found purchasers at previous values. Fat stock in limited supply, and prices have an upward tendency. Dairies were plentiful, with rather a downward tendeuoy in value. The Newmarket yard 3 on Tuesday wore crammed, principally with stores. The demand for all descriptions was biisk, and with the exception of daicy ow3, an advance on ail descriptions was obtained. We quote: Store steers fiom £2 6s to £4 7s 6d ; dry cows, £2 7s 6d ; fat oxen, £0 5s to £10 10.<. Sheep: Quite an average number were brought forward, and disposed of at the previous week's values. There were but a few empty pens at Newmarket on Tuesday, and with tho exception of some fat wethers in wool, they found purchasers at the previous week's values. We quote : Shorn fat wethers, 103 6d to 12s 3d ; fat ewes/ 7s 9d to 9s 9d ; fat lambs, from Us 6d to 13s 3d. Pigs : Very few yarded. Good porkers sold at prices higher than market values. Mk Alfred Bucklvnd's Weekly Repout, — At the Haymarket on Friday, October 21, loose hay was at lower values, bringing from Is J)d to 3s the cwt. only. Straw continued in demand at late value*. Horse stock was slow of sale, and scarcely maintained the values of the previous week. Oats maintained their late values, but iiiaizp was scarcely so high by about Id the bushel. The demand for manures con-tinue-good, without alteration in price. At the hide and skin sale on Tuesday last hides brought 3J.J to 4|d the lb ; calf skins, 4|d ; station sheepskins from Is 3d to 4s 6d each ; tallow, 14s the cwt ; wool G|d the lb. At Kemuera on Thursday, dany cattle were yarded in less than usual number, and without alteration in value. Store cattle ; Plentiful, were fairly competed for, particularly grown stt-ers. Fat cattle : In moderate supply, started at lust week's values, about 18s the lOOlbs, but rose as the sale proceeded to 20-t. Fat sheep : In usual number, were dull of sab, and several. pens were withdrawn. Lambs : Plentiful, 'tftit sold well, good quality from 8s to 12-, and some very choice up to 178 each, inferior from sd. Pigs were also in improved inquiry.
