PUKEKURA DISTRICT BOARD.
Thk board met yesterday afternoon. Present : Messr* (jrano, (chairman), H. Fisher, Kusabs, Wallace and Allen. A letter was received from Mr C. Tuclc, complaining of the drai nacre of the road near hi-* property, and lequesting attention. The application was declined, the woik not coining within the functions of the board, and it would constitute a uad precedent. A circular was received from the Colonial Treasurer re L.'cal Bodies Lwn Act ISSU. Received. It w.aa held that the board had no occasion to borrow money -it pesent. It was resolved to gravel part of the Te Rore road and call for for tenders for forming Caley's road, also to repair dubbins' road. It was resolved to take the necessary steps for the dedication of the road along the railway line. Mr Allen reported that he hid sp->nt one pound on the township road and other works would be reported on at next m°,ettng. Messrs Marshall and Bartells wrote about the bad state of the roads leading to their homes. Mr Kusabs was authorised to inspect nnd report.
