THE BARUGH-EWEN ROAD DISPUTE.
We understand 'that' Mr Ewen has conVBrtecWiia property opposite .Mr Barugh's entrance -into an orchard, and'the latter has now to avail himselfof a back entrance tq his property. ; It appears that a short »tijne since the , .Cambridge Road Board t»ok steps to take this portion of Mr Ewen'a property under the Public Work* Acts^ but as they became aware there was somewhat of b>[ private dispute irt t the matter they declined to continue further than tho first advertisement.' The matter was then brought 'up in the Waikato County Council, and the membersj were induced to believe *they were the 1 proper body to act, and authorised the issue of fresh advertisements and the making of a new survey for the purpose of taking the same land for a culvert. We say nothing as to the law of the matter,' but it seems to us a great pity jfchat some common friend of the p\rties does not intervene to prevent what will result in a groat deal of ill-feeling between neighbours aa well as a ruinous law-suit.
