A VOYAGE ROUND THE WORLD IN A CANOE.

Two years ago a man named Tray nor started from Bath, in the United States, with the intention of going round the world in a canoe. Aa nothing has been heard of him since lie touched at a port of Newfoundland, it is supposed that he has perished ; bat Dr. Bibber, one of his friends, has just made arrangements with a man named Chandler to repeat the evperimeut, Dr. Bibber undertaking to supply a canoe H feet long. Richard Chandler, who is 46 years of age and a native of Northampton, Massachusetts, will first cross the Atlantic to Sweden and Norway, and thence make his way along the coasts of Holland, Belgium, France, and Spain to the Mediterranean, passing through the Suez Canal into the Red Spa, and so by way of the Indian Ocean and the South Pacific to Australia, thence by wav of China aud Japan to San Francisco. From San Francisco he will go by land to the Mississippi, and descend that river to New Orleans, completing h's tour of th^ Avorld by going up the Atlantic coast to New York.
