A REPLY TO HARAPIPI.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — It may be that I did wrong to assume identity with the.' rabbiters while I attempted to dhcuss the rabbit question through your columns, and I confess when I read " Harapipi's " reply I felt ashamed of myself and of "Harapipi." 1 never had the pleasure of conversing with a rabbit inspector, and the fact that " Harapipi " can inform me that "it is an open secret that an Auckland Inspector dictated " is a proof that " Harapipi's " sense of hearing is as acute as Judge Jeffries' nose. He (Judge Jeffries) declared ''he could smell a Presbyterian at forty miles." I will not lead "Harapipi"- astray again. — I am, yours respectfully, Pair Shot. TeKore,' October 9.
