If ill v. Gates.—Claim for (foods, £115s Id. No appearance of defendant. Judgment for plaintiff with costs, £1 ()*, T. Hughks v. Paha Komanga.—Judgment summons for £7 12s Gd. No appearance of defendant. James Thompson was sworn as intetpreter. T. Hughe*, sworn, deposed that he had not been paid the amount as adjudged^by the Court. He had heard that defendant had sold cattle, and also received money from the railway contractor, Mr Coates, since the judgment was given against him, and that he could have paid if he had a mind. —By Court: Did not see cattle sold or know of your own knowledge defendant had received the money ; He had been told so.—Court: That is not evidence, you must produce evidencothatdefendant had means to satisfy the judgment. I will adjourn the case to enable you to summons witnesses until December 3rd. This was all the business.
