TE AROHA. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Te Aroha, Monday.

The following civil cases were called at the sitting of the R.M. Court on Friday. Cocks v. Gordon, claim, £1 10s Gd, balance of account for goods supplied. Judgment for amount and co ts 15s ; Piako County Council v. Ct. (4apes, claim 15s for rates. Judgment for amount and costs. Tha\ter v. Moon, adjourned till first sitting of the court in November, Ward and Wetherington v. P. Ferguson claim, £152 10s, for breach of contract for firewood. The decision in this long-pending case was again postponed to admit of the evidence of the plaintiff Wetherington, (who could not appear on Friday), being; taken. Mr W. M. Hay .appeared for the plaintiffs. Cocks v. Munro, claim, 8* for goods. Plaintiff non-suited. T. Aitken v. W. H. Riteheson claim, £2 for services rendered. Judgment for £1 Bs. A number of cases for rates due to the Piako Covmty Council were settled out of court. Mr W. H. Ritcheson, »f the Family Hotel, Rollfiston-Street (formerly the Robin Hoed and Little John) diod .suddenly on Saturday, on board the steatner Patiki while on tho passage to the Thames. Deceased had been ailing for .some time and had not long been out of tho Thames hospital, to which institution he was returning at the time of his death which U supposed to have resulted from diopsy, combined with heart disease. Owing to indisposition, the Rev. Mr Marshall was^ unable to officiate at the Church of England services yesterday. His place was t.>krn by Mr X Y. Coy, of Shafte<-bury, who performed the duties of lay reader. Mr Marshall's illness is not of a serious native. An adjourned meeting of the Domain Boa-d was to h^sc been held on Situ day evening, but lapsed for want of a quorum,'
