Melbourne, October 1. The revenue of this colony during the quarter ended yesterday, amounted to £1,530,000, an increase of £112,000 compared with the September quarter of last year, but £90,000 below the quarter's proportion of the Treasurer's estimate for the current year.
Adelaide, October 1. The South Australian revenue for the past quarter amounted to £608,800 a decrease of £122,000 compared with the corresponding quarter of last year. In the House of Assembly last night the proposals submitted by the Government to amend the Land Act, in order to cover the deficency in the revenue, were rejected.
